Dr. Dixon was born in Canada and grew up in Santa Monica where he attended high school and received a scholarship to play college football. He graduated from UCLA in 1968. In the American Peace Corps, 1968-1970, he taught physical and biological sciences in India at the Andhra Pradesh, College of Education. After receiving his Dental Degree from UCLA, Dr. Dixon completed a three-year fellowship and residency in Medical Genetics and Pediatric Dentistry at UCLA-Harbor General Hospital. He is a graduate of the Straight Wire Orthodontic Program and UCLA's Esthetic Dentistry mini-residency.
Dr. Martin Thurston was born in Miami Beach and grew up in Los Angeles. He graduated from UCSD and received his Dental Degree at UCSF in 1983. Dr. Thurston completed his Orthodontic Residency and Masters in Oral Biology at UCLA in 1985. Moving to San Diego, he joined Dr. Dixon’s practice in 1985.
Dr. Lam was born in Saigon, Vietnam and immigrated to the Los Angeles area in 1980 where she attended high school. At USC she received dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Finance in 1994 and 1995, respectively.
Dr. Michael Amodeo was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Rancho Bernardo. After graduating from Poway High School, he obtained a degree in Biology at U.C. Santa Barbara. Dr. Amodeo earned his Dental Degree and completed his Pediatric Dental Residency at UCLA where he was Chief Resident and a member of Craniofacial Anomalies and Cleft Palate Team. He is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the ADA and CDA.
Dr. Jason Morris grew up in Orange County and attended Fountain Valley High School. He graduated with honors from USC School of Dentistry in 2008 and Baylor University’s prestigious orthodontic specialty program in 2015. From 2008 and 2012, Dr. Morris served as a general dentist in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps. While on active duty, Dr. Morris was Clinical Director at Camp Pendleton. He served a tour of duty as Officer in Charge at forward operating base Camp Dwyer while deployed to Afghanistan.
Dr. Lori Good graduated in 1981 from UC San Diego with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and subsequently a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of California, San Francisco in 1985. She came to the San Diego region to care for patients at the Rincon Indian Reservation before attending USC, where she graduated with a degree in Pediatric Dentistry and a Masters Degree in Craniofacial Biology. Dr. Good is on staff at Rady’s Children's Hospital. She coordinates our practice’s efforts to administer state-of-the-art care to patients with special needs.
Dr. Brittany Fischer, a board certified specialist, graduated Cum Laude from UCLA Dental School. She received her master's degree and completed her orthodontic training in 2016 at the University of Michigan. There, she gained extensive experience in the treatment of patients with craniofacial anomalies and those requiring surgery to facilitate a harmonious result. She has practiced in the San Diego area since graduation.
